Friction grip (FG) burs are typically used in high-speed handpieces. iM3 recommends disposing of burs between each patient or if they become dull during long procedures, to reduce turbine wear on the high-speed handpiece. These burs are intended for single use, and the cost should be factored into each procedure.
All iM3 Burs are high-quality, European-made designed for precision and reliability. Each bur undergoes a rigorous, standardised cleaning process to ensure optimal hygiene and performance: first polished in a rotary bur polisher to remove residual particles and restore surface shine; then placed in an ultrasonic cleaning unit to eliminate any remaining debris; thoroughly rinsed with hot water over a designated wastewater sink; the cleaning solution is filtered to remove contaminants; and finally, the burs are carefully dried in an oven at 80?°C (176?°F) to ensure complete moisture removal. This multi-step procedure guarantees that every iM3 Bur is clean, polished, and ready for safe and effective use.
