Couplands Elevator No.1 (3mm)
Gouge shaped tip that is 3mm wide and square ended. Slim thickness at tip; gives good access & positioning on the tooth root.
High mechanical advantage (ratio of handle diameter to tip width) Large & shaped “American pattern” handle for comfortable palm grip. Slightly shorter than a standard shank length; to allow the index finger to reach the tip. All stainless steel construction
Uses
- Used to loosen a tooth root as part of tooth extraction.
Use a Couplands No. 3 (Big-O 203) elevator for large dog teeth .Use a Feline Slim elevator (Big-O 202) for other cat teeth, very small dog teeth and retained dog tooth roots
How to use
- To be used by wedging the tip between root and crestal bone & then applying pressure only by a rotational movement.
