Introducing the New Vet Direct Recycling Scheme
With an exciting year ahead for Vet Direct, we’re starting 2025 off with a bang with the launch of our brand new recycling program. As part of our ongoing commitment to help practices become more sustainable, our recycling program provides an easy way for practices to conveniently and sustainably dispose of their waste. Our scheme can help your practice minimise the time spent on specialist recycling and maximise the positive impact you can have on our environment.
How can the Vet Direct Recycling Program make recycling easier for my practice?
We know that practices want to recycle as much as possible within practices, and that often means a member of staff taking time out of their free time to take commercial waste to a soft plastics recycle point. With the Vet Direct Recycling Program those bulky bags are now a thing of the past!
With our Recycling Boxes, you can depend on your waste being collected directly from your practice, and transported swifty to a UK processing plant for recycling.
What can be recycled?
Our recycling program currently offers two types of recycling bins. These include a bin for Medicinal Packaging & Blister Packs, and another for Soft Plastics & Pet Food Packaging. This will enable practices to recycle veterinary waste such as include waste items like:
Both varieties of bins are available in a capacity of 90L.
How does it work?
Our recycling boxes can be ordered directly from the Vet Direct website. Once the order has been placed, the box will arrive at your practice within 48 hours.
After the recycling box has been filled with clean, dry, uncontaminated recycling, you can call or email our recycling partner to arrange collection.
Order the next recycling box from the Vet Direct site and continue to decrease landfill waste from your practice.
