We re-build the drains from scratch to ensure ease of placement, and connectivity and simplicity of use after placement. The kits provide everything you need to place, secure and use the drain safely in a hurry, and its obvious how it goes together. Simple SINGLE connection required to complete closure: Sizes 12-16 Fr need a simple luer connection of the needle-free valve to the female luer on the drain. Sizes 18Fr+ use the needle-free adaptor (DR-FNV-3) for a simple push-fit to complete closure. We recommend using superglue on these connections for maximum security Needle-Free access; It\'s the safest & simplest way to use your chest drain. There are none of the normal risks associated with standard kits and 3-way taps: Valve is swabable for ease of use; no need to cap or protect between activations No risk of inadvertent tap direction errors.
